I make a 5 x 7 Journal. I often carve the Davey board for a square inset area. Specifically, I carve a 2 inch x 2 inch square about 1/2 way thru thick davey board. Then when I adhere the cover paper, I tuck the paper down into the recessed area to create a little nook to hold a graphic. This works pretty well but I would like to upgrade the look. A small copper surround (frame) would finish the look and also keep the glued in graphic from "peeling out" of the recessed area over time.

I have attached a picture of a couple of covers that exhibit the technique I am using for a rectangular insert.

I would love to hear your suggestions and sources.
